This year, from May 23-29, Paramedic Services Week will be celebrated in Canada. In recognition of the vital role Toronto Paramedic Services plays, Mayor John Tory has also declared this week “Toronto Paramedic Services Week” in the city.
Activities will include daily draws for prizes generously donated by the Toronto Paramedic Services Care Fund and CUPE Local 416. We will also publish multiple videos in keeping with the national theme of this year’s Paramedic Services Week: “Paramedic as Educator: Citizen Ready”. The videos are targeted towards school-aged children and teens to help promote the importance of Paramedic services in our communities. Watch for the videos on our YouTube channel, and share them with your family and friends.
While we will be celebrating Paramedic Services Week virtually this year, your commitment and hard work have not gone unnoticed during these unprecedented times. I am extremely proud of each one of you.
I encourage you to follow TPS’ Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as the TPS Staff Blog where photos and messages recognizing our dedicated staff will be posted throughout the week. The newest issue of the staff newsletter will also be released during Paramedic Services Week.
Thank you for your dedication to our community, and happy Paramedic Services Week!
Sincerely,
